PARENTS ARE A VITAL COMPONENT OF KOMPASS COMMUNITY

We see our parents as partners, collaborators and advocates for their children. We respect parents as the children’s first teacher and see them as active members of the KOMPASS community. We invite parents to read with the children, share their passions (e.g. art, chess, calligraphy, yoga), talk about their professions or their home countries.

Also, the KOMPASS way does not end when the child leaves in the afternoon. Parents who choose to send their children to KOMPASS incorporate many of the principles within their parenting and home life. Our teachers conduct individual meetings with parents to talk about the child’s experience at KOMPASS and discuss how their learning can be supported at home.

Becoming involved is a way to enrich your experience at KOMPASS while providing a wonderful role model opportunity for your child. The KOMPASS PTA is a group of parents and members of the KOMPASS team who come together to brainstorm ideas for improvement and to plan events. A monthly coffee morning and regular meetings are beneficial for keeping the KOMPASS community active and engaged.
